I am new to blogging but I am excited to have a way for my friends and family to stay updated on how I am doing while I am on my mission.  I am excited for my journey to begin and with less than a week left my dreams of becoming a missionary will finally be reality. 

Before receiving my mission call, I made a post on Facebook to see if anyone would like to make guesses on where I would be called to serve and after received many responses I  created a map of  pins with the name of who guessed. The green pins on the map come from those I know in Alaska, the red pins are from those I know from Idaho and the house pin is my mission!

I received my mission call at my apartment in Moscow, Idaho, on October 25, 2012 while finishing my last semester of college. I opened it in the presents of my roommates and friends as well as with those on the phone that where back home in Alaska and in other places.  I was assigned to labor in the Brazil Porto Alegre North Mission.
